Introducing… Granado Espada’s Champions!
The time is 1633hrs. The date is the 16th day of the hot humid month of June, 2007. The Granado Espada's Regional PVP Grand Final tournament reached its climax when the Finals went underway.
The competition, which boasted the best of the best players from across the region - Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam, all coming together in Singapore to compete on a common platform, was highly anticipated and watched by gamers from all over the world. To provide a level playing field, competitors were able to choose from a suite of pre-made characters for the duration of the tournament: All of these pre-made characters are level 100 Veteran, with Level 25 Stances, and all skills in each stance set to master level.
After a ferocious and dizzying spectacular battle of wits, strategies and moves spanning 3 hours, two teams faced off in the final showdown. They were <Team YakiMY 2> from Malaysia and <Team Ravage> from Singapore. With live commentary blaring in the background, the teams were out for blood. More than 20 plasma screens broadcast the action across the entire party venue, fuelling gasps of excitement and cheers from pockets of supporters. The atmosphere was electrifying. Though the largely partisan crowd rallied behind the Singapore team, Team YakiMY took the lead right from the start and never looked back. Comprising of seasoned G.E. gamers "Nuub" and "cara" from Cervantes world, <Team YakiMY 2> emerged victorious as Granado Espada's PvP champions with a 2-0 straight win.
The deserving champions won each an Intel Gaming Personal Computer worth more than S$2,500.
The runner-up, <Team Ravage> comprising of "Voyage" and "RavaNa" from Cervantes didn't leave the competition empty-handed though, each of them won a Skype phone and a high-end webcam worth S$1,500 in total.
Fans of the G.E. PvP tournament would be pleased to know that there will be more tournaments in the near future, happening in the regions of Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Vietnam.
